Join our most popular class! Bread, pancakes, waffles, buns… there are so many delicious recipes you can make with your own healthy sourdough that is ready to go when you want. This workshop will be a great source of knowledge for both new and experienced home bakers. Unlike the virtual workshops, this class will be a very hands-on experience. You will be creating your own sourdough boule, and during this process we will be individually checking on each participant’s dough progress and helping avoid potential mistakes. This personal interaction is essential.
What you will learn and do during the workshop:
– overview of flours and benefits
– making your own wheat sourdough starter
– maintaining and feeding (daily basis, vacation period)
– troubleshooting
– baker’s math overview
– kneading, folding, forming, scoring and baking
What to bring:
– A notepad and a pen to make notes
– An apron
– A desire and motivation to learn new things
IMPORTANT: Keeping in mind the natural process of dough developing, please allow to stay extra 30 minutes, if needed.
Pay full amount online to secure your place. If paying for someone else, please indicate the participant’s full name in the comments box.
Ingredients are provided by the bakery and each participant will leave with a sourdough loaf and sourdough starter.
Cancellation Policy:
Full Payment is due upon registering for a class.
If you need to cancel last minute – one week or less of the class date – a full refund will be offered if we can refill your booking. Otherwise no refund can be issued, but we can offer a next class credit.
No refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before class date.
Please wear clothes that will be comfortable for baking.
